CoreWeave (CRWV) surged in premarket trading after securing a multi-year deal to power Perplexity's AI inference workloads. The cloud infrastructure provider will deploy Nvidia GB200 NVL72 clusters, marking a strategic expansion beyond its traditional customer base.

Perplexity's Sonar and Search API ecosystem will scale on CoreWeave's platform, while the latter adopts Perplexity Enterprise Max for internal use. CEO Mike Intrator positioned the partnership as a diversification play during the company's earnings call.
